OTHER LW GAMES - Runescape

I play Runescape probably more than I should. I would do WoW but my computer isnt really that great. Just give me your opinion on a possible Runescape LW branch.

RUNESCAPE IS DEAD! NANANANA NO MORE DUELING, DROP TRADING, MAKING PURES, PKING , OR MERCHING!

The only reason i play travian now is because i quit runescape

Sure - but they had to do something to stop the macro-players. The macro players were destroying Runescape first. Just try and chop wood or mine pretty much anything.....

I never liked the PKing that much anyway. I quit 'cos I got bored and irritated with the macroers.

the macros had no direct effect (some inflation of the marked) on a player. but raping half the game away from players dose.

i had about 5 pking pures, some of which took me months to make.

They had to stop Real-World trading somehow. All the level 6 noobs with full God Robes just made the game look bad. I still play becuase they are making some great updates, including a massive grafics (which looks amazing compared to the current). And if you dont like the trade rule they are working on a item lending system. And since they took away PKing they have created a bunch of new PvP mini-games. You should really start playing again. And for those of you who dont...Start.

The new games don't even compare with the old Pking. And @ bunny, the macros had quite a large impact on anyone trying to chop or mine......

Nothing jagex does now can ever bring back runescape for me.....unless they completely revert to the old system. I lost loads of money because of the introduction of the grand exchange. Merchanting became impossile and the item prices dropped alot.

Yes many of the updates were bad...every serious RS player knows that but the people who really cared kept on playing. And yes also how many prices fell and a bunch of good merching items fell but now many items are going up also. Its all supply and demand and Jagex finally has a way to show everyone what is really being bought. I mean who ever thought that yews whould be worth 420gp??

PKing was pretty much the only thing that kept me on rs.......and now it isnt there anymore....i really cared and now it is all gone!!!

No one ever thinks holiday items will be worth anything until they become discontinued. Thats when all the prices sky rocket. There is also a mini-game called Bounty Hunter that u actually get payed for killing other players. It is close to Pking just that u have an assigned target, although most people go rogue.

Yes i have played it. I have kept up to date on runescape but everything they bring out just makes me madder.

its not the same as running up to someone half afk and dds, dds, dds, dds, and then ice blitz them. the person looses nothing. if you think pkers pk for other peoples stuff your wrong, they pk to piss the other person off.

I quit rs for ages after they nerfed dueling, and pking...
All this bounty hunter crap is terrible...but i've been on rs a bit lately...got to 134 combat...and im bored again...What to do with rs?

If you looked at the numbers playing RS before and after the destruction of PKing you would have seen that it halved...Another thing i noticed was that members worlds were relativly unchanged. I think alot of people left runescape not only because of pking but of the other things introduced.
Quick money in f2p is almost impossible to come by now.

Pking was the best part of the game.
I stopped playing after that.

i kinda got bored with RS at the same time as when i started getting interested in Travian, but i've kept playing up until a few weeks ago, haven't logged in for a while now... everything said here by other people before me is true... Jagex ruined Runescape to keep out macroing real-world-traders, but then who is really to blame?

At least i got me mining up to 90 before they got decent mining scripts in Fally guild or my account still would've sucked

I was never really into PKing any way. Maybe thats why I still play. Jagex is trying to make up for it the best they can. Some of their other improvements like the quick-chat system, and the all new graphics are definately a plus though.

yes they are... its with the graphics update

pking is how i set up my account.... that is also why i played. thats how i made my money, i kill people and i take their stuff and sell it or use it. i always remember going to some castle thing in lvl 22 wild where runes spawn and just collect them and at the same time, kill noobs that walk by.

they ruined it for me when they got rid of pking. why did they do that?
